DIRECTOR OF COACHING - Coach Craig Heseltine
The Director of Coaching will direct and supervise the Club coaching staff, and is ultimately responsible for meeting the Club’s overall objectives related to player and team development. 

 
Craig joined JYSC in 2006 as Head of the JYSC Academy. In 2007 he was promoted to Director of Coaching. Craig began his coaching career in England before bringing his vast football experience to Florida in 2002.
He had a distinguished 14-year playing career, which included both professional and semi-pro appearances with clubs in England. Craig has coached at all youth and adult age levels, including Bridlington Town Men’s First Team and Tampa Knights. As Team Trainer and Head Trainer of Tampa Knights and JYSC, he successfully coached Boys and Girls teams. Among his teams were finalists and champions of 2011’s Region 111 Premier League and Disney Qualifier. Craig has coached seven teams through to the Sweet Sixteen round of State Cup and the Final Four twice...In 2012 Craig was appointed Assistant Head Coach of the prestigious FC Jax Destroyers Men’s Team.
Craig holds three English FA Coaching Certificates (Level 1, Level 2, Coaching Disabled Performers), USSF National Youth License and NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.
 
 
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR - Coach John McLelland
The Technical Director will lead the technical and tactical direction with Jacksonville Youth Soccer Club, overseeing the Age Group Directors and implementation of the curriculum. 
 


 
John joined JYSC in 2007 as the Boys Head Trainer. In 2008, he was promoted to Technical Director for JYSC Boys. John has played at the highest level of soccer and earned 18 caps for Scottish national teams. He has played in over 425 youth and professional matches in Scotland, New Zealand and Iceland. He played for prestigious Scottish Premier League teams such as Glasgow Rangers FC, Heart of Midlothian FC and Kilmarnock FC. He played in the New Zealand Southern Premier League and the Icelandic League. His coaching experience spans the globe with stints as a Scottish FA Development Officer, a New Zealand FC Regional Development Officer and as Head Coach of UMF Selfoss (a professional team in Iceland), Caversham Otago FC, New Zealand and Cobb FC (Atlanta, GA). In the past three years, John has coached two Sweet Sixteen State Cup teams and one Final 8 team.  In 2010 his team finished second in FSL division 1. John holds several Scottish FA Coaching Certificates and the NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.

DIRECTOR OF CLUB DEVELOPMENT - John D. Auldridge II


John joined JYSC in 2012 as Director of Club Development. John is one of the most respected figures in the Florida soccer scene. He has been involved in soccer at various levels in Europe and the USA.  Formerly an assistant coach at German professional teams FC Ansbach and FC Nuernburg and team trainer at FC Diablo Canyon based in California, he went on to become a Position Coach for ’Forwards’ at the prestigious FC Bayern Munich and FFC Wacker between 2003 and 2007. As Director of Club Development at McLean Youth Soccer Club in Virginia he helped McLean attain the prestigious status of a US Development Academy in 2009. In addition to his coaching career, John was a USSF Referee reaching Grade 5 Emeritus. He was a German Bundesliga Referee in the 1st and 2nd Division Mens and Womens League. He is also a SPARQ Trainer.
John is a former German "A" License Holder

DEVELOPMENTAL DIRECTOR - Coach Rob Anderson
The Development Director supervises the volunteer coaching staff of the recreational teams, and oversees the Skills Program integrating the professional staff into the recreational development for ages U7-U10.



Rob joined JYSC in 2011. Rob played soccer from 1993- 1999 for various Scottish teams including Hutchison Vale, Spartans and Edinburgh City.  Rob went on to work for the SFA (Scottish Football Association) and worked as a community coach for a Scottish Premier League team, Hibernian FC.  As coach for Elgin College, Chicago, Il, Rob’s team won the conference championship and also earned the college’s first Women’s Soccer Region IV title. As a result, in 2004, Rob was awarded both the Women’s Conference ’Coach of the Year’ and the Women’s Regional Coach of the Year. Rob’s Ramsay Area Soccer U12 Team won the State Cup in Minnesota.  In 2010, Rob’s U14 Boys came 3rd in Region’s Cup.  Rob was the Head Trainer at Clay County and Assistant Varsity Coach at St. John’s Country Day. 
Rob holds the UEFA SFA B License Diploma and SFA Children’s License Diploma.
He also earned the NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma.
  
 
 
 
The Age Group Development Officers are part of an exciting new structure at JYSC.  We believe in player development FIRST, and we have assigned top notch coaches to all age groups from the youngest players up. These highly trained and seasoned coaches will oversee the professional coaching staff in their respective areas of responsibility, ensuring that the progression of training and curriculum implementation is consistent and dynamic.
 
Age Group Development Officer - U9-U10 Boys
Coach Michael Johnson 

 
Mike joined JYSC in 2012 although as a fourteen year old player, Mike helped start JYSC in 1975.  He has over 35 years experience in all levels of soccer as a player, coach, director and administrator.  From 2004-2011, Mike was Head Coach of Men’s Soccer at Jacksonville University. From 1998-2003, he was Head Coach for Women’s Soccer at Jacksonville University. From 1985-1990, Mike was Director of Coaching for Jacksonville Jaguars. He played professional soccer for Tulsa Tornado USL and was captain and MVP of the Jacksonville University NCAA Div.1 team.  Mike is the only coach in Atlantic Sun History to take a Women’s and Men’s team to NCAA College Cup and be named ’Coach of the Year’ in both genders. Mike has coached six Florida State Cup Final-Four teams, including one winner.

Age Group Development Officer - U11-U12 Boys & Girls
Coach Elvir Mesic

  

Elvir joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2007.  He played for FK Lokomotiva (Bosnia), SV Tainach (Austria) and German teams: SV Zehlendorf, FV Wannsee and SV Stern.   
Elvir initially coached youth soccer in Germany and has been an Academy Development Trainer at First Coast and at JYSC. In 2011, Elvir’s JYSC U14 Boys were 3rd in Region’s Cup.
Elvir holds a DFB-German FA Coaching Certificate, USSF E and D Licenses, NSCAA Junior Level V and NSCAA National C & Advanced B Diplomas.
 
 
Age Group Development Officer - U9-U10 Girls
Coach Jay Golomb

 
Jay joined JYSC in 2008. Jay is on the national staff of the prestigious National Soccer Coaches Association of America.  He is currently a National Associate Staff Instructor, a National Goalkeeping Staff Instructor and the State Director for Northeast Florida.  Jay is currently the Goalkeeping Staff Coach/Evaluator for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for the Florida State Youth Soccer Association (FSYSA).   Jay was the Head Coach of the College of Notre Dame of Maryland NCAA Division III Women.  Jay was Director of JYSC Youth Academy in 2010. He has also been Director of Coaching for Baltimore Football Club and Head Coach of the Baltimore Bays.  Jay holds the NSCAA C license and an Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma.

Age Group Development Officer - U13-U18 Girls
Coach Marc Osterberger 
  
  
Marc joined JYSC in 2007 as Girls Head Trainer. In 2008, he was promoted to Technical Director for JYSC Girls.  After an impressive four-year NCAA Division 1 playing career at Radford University, Marc went on to coach from 1994 - 2005 at Bethesda and Freestate clubs in Maryland. Marc’s Youth Girls teams won 7 State Cup Championships. From 2002-2005, Marc was Head Coach of the Maryland Olympic Development Program (ODP) where his teams won 2 USYSA Regional Championships (Region 1) and a National Championship.  In recognition of his outstanding coaching skills, Marc was named the Baltimore Sun All-Metro High School Coach of the Year in 1997.  Marc served as an Assistant Coach for the Towson University Division 1 Women’s Team 1999-2005. Marc has successfully placed over 200 youth players in USA collegiate programs.  
Marc holds a USSF B License and is currently the Head Coach of FC Jax Destroyers Women’s Team.  
 
 
 
 

U9 Fury Green - Coach Jeff Giese
 
         
 
Jeff joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2002.  From 1991 - 1995, Jeff was four year Varsity Captain for Dunlap High School in Illinois and Conference MVP in 1995.  He started for St. Ambrose University in Iowa from 1996-1999. Jeff has been a JYSC Team Trainer for U11, U12 and U13 Boys and well as with U13 Girls.  He has been a Head Coach for U11 - U14 Boys. In 2006, Jeff’s U11 team placed in the Final Four of Region Cup. In 2007, he coached his U12 team to 2nd place in the Region Cup.
Jeff holds the USSF National D License and USSF National E License, as well as a NSCAA Regional Diploma.
 
 
U9 Fury White - Coach Michael Johnson

 U10 Fury White - Coach Cameron Crandall 
 
  
Cameron joined the coaching staff at JYSC in 2005.  Since  2000, he has been a Youth Select Coach for U-9 to U-19 teams at JYSC and Tallahassee United FC. From 2002-2004, he was also the Varsity Boys’ Head Coach at Lawton Chiles High School (Tallahassee). In 2007, Cameron became the Middle School Coach at Episcopal of Jacksonville. He currently is a U-7 through U-10 Program Trainer for the JYSC Academy. Cameron holds a USSF National D License. 
Cameron holds the NSCAA Youth Level III Diploma, NSCAA Junior Level V (Regional) and Junior Level VI (Advanced Regional) Diplomas, and NSCAA Level I and II Goalkeeping Diplomas.

U10 Fury  Grey -  Coach Tony ’Amp’ Selvera  
 
  
Amp joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2009. Amp played for Lincoln High School for four years and was part of the 2006 State Runner-up Team. Amp has played soccer for over ten years.  Initially, Amp worked as part of the JYSC U7-10 Training Academy. Amp was Head Coach of the Junior Varsity team at Gainesville High School and was a Trainer/Coach at Gainesville Soccer Association.  
Amp currently is the Middle School Episcopal Girls’ Head Coach.
Amp holds a NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.

U11 Fury White - Matthew Crowell

 
Matthew joined JYSC as a player in 2004. He played for JYSC U-17 and U-18 and made Final Eight in the State Cup. Matthew made ’All County" for three years. Matthew played Outside Mid and Outside Back for Georgia Southern University from 2006 to 2010.  As Assistant Coach at Episcopal Middle School, Mathew helped his team come second for IMSC. Including the final, the team only lost twice. Matthew rejoined JYSC as a coach in 2011.

U12 Fury Green - Coach Michael Stauch

 
  
Michael joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2010 as an Academy Development Trainer. He holds an Advanced National Coaching Diploma, National Diploma and an Advanced Regional IV Youth Diploma from the NSCAA. From 2002-2010, he was a Middle School Athletic Director and Soccer Coach in Neptune Beach. From 2006-2010, he was an Academy trainer and an assistant at First Coast Soccer Club. Michael was a developmental trainer at NYSC, Norfolk, VA 1997-1998From 1994-1996, he coached the Boys JV and was the varsity assistant coach at Berkley Preparatory High School in Tampa, FL. Michael played for Annandale Boys Club, Little River and Va Beach. He was a Virginia State Cup winner with ABC and LR, regional winner, and regional runner-up as well as making two appearances in US Open Cup play (’91-’93). He is an experienced physical education instructor as well as former classroom teacher in Fine Arts, History and General Sciences.

U12 Fury White - Coach Joe Sissine
   
  
Joe has been affiliated with JYSC periodically since 1978. He played for JYSC while growing up in Jacksonville. Joe played four years on the Varsity Team at Bishop Kenny High School (Two time All-City). From 1990-1994, he played at Queens University in Charlotte, NC.  
Joe has coached in the Rec, Academy, and Select programs for numerous years. 
He continues to play in the adult leagues throughout Jacksonville. 
Joe holds an NSCAA Youth Diploma.
 
 
U13 Fury Green - Coach Terry Wilson
 

Terry joined JYSC in 2011.  From 1976-1996, Terry played professional soccer for Aston Villa (England), Hibernian (Scotland), Dunedin City (New Zealand).  Terry scored over 250 goals throughout career, and won the New Zealand Cup.
From 1996-2005, Terry was Director of Coaching for Tucker Youth Soccer Association in Dekalb County. Under Terry’s leadership, the club grew from 750 to 1,600 players, becoming the largest of any youth sport association in Dekalb County.Terry has also served as the Program Director of Concorde Fire and as Boys Academy Director of NASA. In 2007, he coached the Marist High School team to their first State Championship in program history. Terry holds the USSF A and B licenses.

Jason joined the coaching staff at JYSC in 2006. Jason is an outstanding Select Coach and is also a Senior Trainer in the JYSC Developmental Program. During his three year stint as their Select Coach, Jason developed what is now JYSC’s outstanding rising U15 Boys Team. Jason has coached in some of region III’s  biggest events; multiple Region B final four appearances, qualified for Disney Jr showcase, Vulcan Cup, US club regional finalist, and his 2010-2012 boys team has made the finals in their last four consecutive events including the Everton Jr Showcase. Jason has played soccer his entire life and is extremely well known and respected throughout the entire Jacksonville soccer community. Jason holds NSCAA Youth V / VI, and Goalkeeping I/II Diploma.

Michael joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2010 as an Academy Development Trainer. He holds an Advanced National Coaching Diploma, National Diploma and an Advanced Regional IV Youth Diploma from the NSCAA. From 2002-2010, he was a Middle School Athletic Director and Soccer Coach in Neptune Beach. From 2006-2010, he was an Academy trainer and an assistant at First Coast Soccer Club. Michael was a developmental trainer at NYSC, Norfolk, VA 1997-1998From 1994-1996, he coached the Boys JV and was the varsity assistant coach at Berkley Preparatory High School in Tampa, FL. Michael played for Annandale Boys Club, Little River and Va Beach. He was a Virginia State Cup winner with ABC and LR, regional winner, and regional runner-up as well as making two appearances in US Open Cup play (’91-’93). He is an experienced physical education instructor as well as former classroom teacher in Fine Arts, History and General Sciences.

U18 Fury Green - Heade Coach Moses Williams and Assistant Coach Grant Mooi

 

Moses joined JYSC in 2012.  As a youth, he played for Jacksonville Youth Soccer Club, North Florida Subway and Jacksonville Jaguars Soccer Club. He was a four year starter for Sandalwood High School and received all-conference honors three of the four years he attended.  Moses received his Division 1 playing experience at Alabama A&M University and Division 1 coaching experience at Jacksonville University. 2006-2011, Moses served as the Director of Coaching at the Jaguars Soccer Club. He is currently Head Coach at Terry Parker High School. Moses has coached many players who have gone on to play either collegiately or professionally. Moses has had several FYSA round of 16 appearances and a final four appearance. He has won USASA state and regional championships and has also competed in the UASA national final four.
Moses holds the USSF National B License as well as the NSCAA Director of Coaching and National Goal Keeping Diplomas.

U19 Fury Green - Coach Todd Tinsley

 
Todd joined JYSC in 2011 after five successful years at the Jacksonville Jaguars Soccer Club.  Having served the last three years as the Section 1 FHSAA Boys Soccer Advisory Committee Representative, Todd is beginning his 10th year as Head Boys Soccer Coach at Wolfson High School, where he also serves as Athletic Director. Todd has coached the Florida Athletic Coaches Association’s North All-Star State Team three times, winning the state competition once in 2007.  Todd has been the FACA District 5 Coach of the Year in four of the last five years, and in 2008 was named Teacher of the Year at Wolfson High School.  Todd has a long line of former players that have played or are currently playing in college, including one playing professionally in Germany, and a former USA Under-20 standout.    
Todd holds a USSF D National License.  Todd’s U19 Boys team Won the 2012 Region Cup and finished 3rd in the President’s Cup.

Kate joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2007. Kate played at Orange Park High School (2-time All-State), Boise State University (Division 1), University of Southern Mississippi (Division 1), and Jacksonville Jade (semi-pro). Kate has coached at The Bolles School since 2005, where she is currently the Varsity Girls’ Assistant Coach. She has been an Academy trainer since 2007.
In 2011, Kate’s JYSC Fury U13 Girls got through to the Final Four of State Cup.

Jay is on the national staff of the prestigious National Soccer Coaches Association of America.  He is currently a National Associate Staff Instructor, a National Goalkeeping Staff Instructor and the State Director for Northeast Florida.  Jay is currently the Goalkeeping Staff Coach/Evaluator for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for the Florida State Youth Soccer Association (FSYSA).   Jay was the Head Coach of the College of Notre Dame of Maryland NCAA Division III Women.  Jay was Director of JYSC Youth Academy in 2010. He has also been Director of Coaching for Baltimore Football Club and Head Coach of the Baltimore Bays.  Jay holds the NSCAA C license and an Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma.

Jennifer joined JYSC in 2012 as an academy trainer. Jennifer played soccer at Texas Tech University where she was team captain and a letter winner. Jennifer is currently the Executive Director of Operations at FC Jax Destroyers Soccer Club, a Premier Development League team.  She has also worked for Colorado Rapids Soccer and Colorado Youth Soccer Association.

U10 Fury Green - Coach Jason Schnellbacher

 

Jason joined the coaching staff at JYSC in 2006. Jason is an outstanding Select Coach and is also a Senior Trainer in the JYSC Developmental Program. During his three year stint as their Select Coach, Jason developed what is now JYSC’s outstanding rising U15 Boys Team. Jason has coached in some of region III’s  biggest events; multiple Region B final four appearances, qualified for Disney Jr showcase, Vulcan Cup, US club regional finalist, and his 2010-2012 boys team has made the finals in their last four consecutive events including the Everton Jr Showcase. Jason has played soccer his entire life and is extremely well known and respected throughout the entire Jacksonville soccer community. Jason holds NSCAA Youth V / VI, and Goalkeeping I/II Diploma.

Mario joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2011. Mario began playing competitive soccer at the age of seven in Serbia.  After high school, Mario signed on with the Serbian professional team, Buducnost FC.
He then received a soccer scholarship to Vanguard University in Southern California. 
During the 2010-11, his team won the Golden State Athletic Conference play-offs, then went on to  participate in the Regional Final and National Championships.

Robin joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2010. Robin played Varsity Soccer for Forrest High School where he was an All-State Player and Florida Times-Union Player of the Year.  He also played for Jacksonville University.  Robin is a former Select Coach of Westside where he coached for eight years. He also coached for Wolfson Senior High School from 2004 - 2007.  Currently, Robin is the Assistant Coach for Stanton College Preparatory School.  He helped Wolfson’s Varsity team win a District Championship and a Regional Championship. He won the Region Cup Championship at Westside with the U-15 Girls.  Won 2 District Championships and 1 Gateway Conference Championship at Stanton. Robin holds a USSF D License.

Kate initially joined JYSC in 1997 as an 8 year old player and played soccer with us until 2006. Kate established herself as a central defender for Mandarin High School and for Clearwater Christian College between 2007-2010. Since 2010, she has been the assistant coach of the Girls Varsity soccer team at Christ’s Church Academy. In 2011, Kate rejoined JYSC as a coach. In addition to her coaching duties, Kate is also an Academy trainer.

Restie joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2009 as a Rec Coach. Restie has over twenty years of playing experience in Jacksonville.  He was a two-time All Gateway Conference player.  He currently plays for Lynch’s FC in the Northeast Florida Soccer League.

Tony joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2010.  He was initially recruited to work with the Academy Program and a U8 Girls’ Rec group.  Tony now coaches the U10 Fury Girls’ Green Team and continues to work with the Rec group. Tony played Select Soccer in Indiana for nine years and Varsity High School soccer for four years where he was named to All-District twice. Tony also played for Indiana State’s Club team for one year while coaching at the High School level.  Tony moved to Jacksonville in 2007 where he began coaching at Mandarin Christian School and is now the Varsity Girls Head Coach. Tony holds a NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.

Mike joined JYSC in 2012 although as a fourteen year old player, Mike helped start JYSC in 1975.  He has over 35 years experience in all levels of soccer as a player, coach, director and administrator.  From 2004-2011, Mike was Head Coach of Men’s Soccer at Jacksonville University. From 1998-2003, he was Head Coach for Women’s Soccer at Jacksonville University. From 1985-1990, Mike was Director of Coaching for Jacksonville Jaguars. He played professional soccer for Tulsa Tornado USL and was captain and MVP of the Jacksonville University NCAA Div.1 team.  Mike is the only coach in Atlantic Sun History to take a Women’s and Men’s team to NCAA College Cup and be named ’Coach of the Year’ in both genders. Marc’s Youth Girls’ teams won 7 State Cup Championships. From 2002-2005, Marc was Head Coach of the Maryland Olympic Development Program (ODP) where his teams won 2 USYSA Regional Championships (Region 1) and a National Championship.  In recognition of his outstanding coaching skills, Marc was named the Baltimore Sun All-Metro High School Coach of the Year in 1997.  Marc served as an Assistant Coach for the Towson University Division 1 Women’s Team 1999-2005. Marc has successfully placed over 200 youth players in USA collegiate programs.  
Marc holds a USSF B License and is currently the Head Coach of FC Jax Destroyers Women’s Team.

Adam joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2012 after four successful years at the First Coast soccer club where he coached Girls teams from U12 up to U16. In addition, Adam was the KYX goalkeeper coach from 2008 to 2012. Adam has 15 years playing experience where he has shown his versatility by playing in every position. This included stints as a semi-pro goalkeeper. In the UK he was Head Coach of the Chelsea FC Youth Development team and Goalkeeper Coach for QPR. His US career included stints as as a coach, trainer and goalkeeper coach at Westside Soccer club and Creeks Athletic Association. He was also coach of the Providence High School Boys Team that were district finalists in 2011.

U18 Fury - Coach Matt Hemphill

 

Matt joined the JYSC coaching staff in 2010 to coach the U18 Girls. Matt played soccer at Episcopal High School, and for the Club team at Florida State University. Since 2004, Matt has been the head coach for Stanton Preparatory School. From 2008 to 2010, Matt coached U15-U17 Girls at Westside Soccer Club. In 2011 Matt showed his versatility by coaching both the U9 and U18 JYSC Fury Girl’s teams. Matt also coached the Stanton Varsity Team to the District Title. Matt holds a USSF F license.

SPEED AND AGILITY
Coach Rob Anderson

  
 
Rob joined JYSC in 2011. Rob played soccer from 1993- 1999 for various Scottish teams including Hutchison Vale, Spartans and Edinburgh City.  Rob went on to work for the SFA (Scottish Football Association) and worked as a community coach for a Scottish Premier League team, Hibernian FC.  As coach for Elgin College, Chicago, Il, Rob’s team won the conference championship and also earned the college’s first Women’s Soccer Region IV title. As a result, in 2004, Rob was awarded both the Women’s Conference ’Coach of the Year’ and the Women’s Regional Coach of the Year. Rob’s Ramsay Area Soccer U12 Team won the State Cup in Minnesota.  In 2010, Rob’s U14 Boys came 3rd in Region’s Cup.  Rob was the Head Trainer at Clay County and Assistant Varsity Coach at St. John’s Country Day. 
Rob holds the UEFA SFA B License Diploma and SFA Children’s License Diploma.
